Notability
[edit]This article was originally a copyvioo. I stubbed it to removed the copyvio, which resulted in some of the notability proof being removed. But see the references. --Eastmain (talk) 21:45, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I saw that it was speedy deleted because of notability concerns and then recreated in a fashion that didn't assert notability. I've changed the tag to {{notability}}, as it is apparently a work in progress. --Philosopher Let us reason together. 21:53, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Related to R. M. Palmer?
[edit]I just bought (in a shop here in the UK) a bar called "DoubleCrisp" that is manufactured by "R.M. Palmer Company" of Reading, PA. Is this another branch of the Palmer Candy Company described here, or a completely different outfit? Loganberry (Talk) 15:28, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
R.M. Palmer and Palmer Candy Company are two different companies. R.M. Palmer started in 1948 and is located in Pennsylvania while Palmer Candy began in 1878 and is in Iowa. The two companies tend to manufacture products in two different areas of the candy industry. R.M. is known for its seasonal chocolate novelties such as Santas, pumpkins, Easter Bunnies, etc. Palmer Candy is known for the Twin Bing, a cherry, chocolate and peanut candy bar which has a bit of a Midwestern cult following. Palmer Candy also contract manufactures chocolate and candies for groceries and speciality stores. The easy way to tell these manufacturers apart is by the logo. R.M. Palmer has a bunny logo which replaces the "P" in Palmer while the Iowan counterpart has two logos either a palm tree or a oval with Palmer diagonal inside of it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.119.154.163 (talk) 18:44, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
