Sharpening happens

[edit]

I had reverted this diff since it was uncited anecdotal original research. OK, that was the "good reason." The "real reason" I took it out was that it seemed to be too wordy, and tangential to the basic statements that belong at the head of an article. Of course, this article is still stubby, still pretty much just a lead paragraph and a short list of two types of knife.

I just put some text further down in the article about this adventitious sharpening. Still no cite for it; looking through Ralph Mayer's book I don't see any mention of it. It may turn out to be one of those things that is true but difficult to verify, or something that everyone knows, who has spent a lot of time working with such a tool, but no one has considered to be worth writing about. __ Just plain Bill (talk) 20:03, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's good the way you put it. Bus stop (talk) 00:25, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
