More invertebrates
[edit]From the appendix of Solnhofen: a study in Mesozoic palaeontology (Barthel et al) I can see the page is deficient in these areas:
- Molluscs
- Bivalves 7 genera
- Gastropods 5 genera
- Cephalopods, many genera, especially Squid & cuttlefish and Ammonites
- Crustaceans many genera of Decapods and Reptantians
- Insects, many genera of Odonata and Beetles
- Echinoderms, many genera other than Crinoids
Even amongst reptiles the list falls far short of what is known:
- Lizards, 5 genera
- Rhynchocephalians, 5 genera
- Crocodiles, 7 genera
Others must have noticed this; my guess is that the format for the list is too cumbersome, and deters others from adding the details. As it is, the list gives a seriously incomplete picture of the fauna.
