[edit]While removing copyvio content that QadeemMusalman kept copy-pasting into the article, I noticed that much was being made of the claim that "Saudi Arabia has quietly bypassed the United States as the single largest aid donor" in response to the 2010 Pakistan floods (news article from Pakistan Daily dated August 31, 2010). As it happens, this claim is contradicted by the current UNOCHA report on humanitarian assistance by donor for the 2010 Pakistan floods: http://fts.unocha.org/reports/daily/ocha_R24_E15913___1012021733.pdf AtticusX (talk) 19:56, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
- Well according to the very latest report (Sep/2010) from the government of Pakistan itself, Saudi Arabia is indeed the largest donar of aid to the 2010 flood victims of Pakistan. Please see: Countrywise update of Foreign Assistance for Flood Affectees (bulletin No. 21) Date: 08 September, Time: 1500.00 hr (Jalal0 (talk) 19:49, 19 January 2011 (UTC)).
lede
[edit]The bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are legendary. Nothing could be closer. Pakistan is Saudi Arabia's No. 1 Muslim ally. Both countries have a deep brotherly relationship. Pakistan- Saudi Arabia Relations have been extremely strong, intimate and exemplary through all the regimes starting from the days of founders of both the nations.
What is with that lede? It feels like I'm reading the most hyperbolic newspaper promotion ever printed. Having a look at the edit history, it seems that there's been something going on. Someone care to explain the situation? -- 李博杰 | —Talk contribs email 11:22, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- I've reverted the changes back to the last 'clean' version which is much less POV. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 17:37, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
