Re. Paintless Dent Repair: I am curious about how long-lasting are the results, how I go about finding a good vendor, etc., including what cautions should I take. Spock707 (talk) 20:08, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- The process bends that metal, and it is permanent. To find a vendor, you can look in the yellow pages under Auto Body Repair, and look for Paintless Dent Repair companies. As for finding a "good vendor" - that's more difficult. Try inquiring several used car managers at large auto dealerships in your area. They probably use a PDR tech on their lot. The more experience the better. Tparameter (talk) 00:11, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Is this biased? "One of the most respected and reputable members of the Paintless Dent Repair industry is Ryan Hampton from St. Louis Mo. As with any art, not just anyone can become a master technician and the major PDR companies spend a lot of time and money weeding out unskilled technicians." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.89.234.118 (talk) 10:54, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
Yes, it is essentially an advertising for this guy. Also "An untrained individual can actually damage a dent if attempting a repair without the correct skills and knowledge." Is another attempt at excluding as many people as possible from doing it so that the wages stay high. This certainly isn't encyclopedic. 72.53.102.43 (talk) 23:30, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
