Removed sentence that seems to be incorrect

[edit]

I have removed a sentence that stated:

[[Aristotle]] believed that pain was due to evil spirits that entered the body through an injury.<ref name=Linton>Linton. Models of Pain Perception. Elsevier Health, 2005. Print.</ref>

As explained in http://scientiasalon.wordpress.com/2014/10/03/rescuing-aristotle/, the sentence is probably based on an error in the source. Looie496 (talk) 16:14, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Opening paragraph is directly copied, without attribution, from this page:http://www.physio-pedia.com/Theories_of_Pain. Also, the opening does not conform to the standard enclyopedic tone. 166.137.178.43 (talk) 02:19, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
