GIVEN FROM BIRTHRIGHTS

Oh the irony. Oh, the irony that there's so little in this article

There is much to add to this article.

Some food for thought:

Page views as a core measure
Page views as a basis for revenue
Gaming your site to maximize page views
Inherent design conflicts
Page views v. User Experience
Page views and RSS
Page views and mobile devices

See article on masternewmedia.org (no relation, or relationship, to, or with, me) for some more ideas and info.

That's a start. --TMH (talk) 17:23, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Named after Larry Page

According to Dave Gorman, while appearing on QI, the "page" in page views has nothing to do with web pages, but instead Page views are named after Larry Page. He compared it to the game Tiddlywinks, where there is a move called the Good shot, named after John Good.

Is there any truth to this? If so, can anyone find any sources backing it up?

He may have confused it with PageRank, which definately is named after Larry Page. 82.139.81.212 (talk) 07:42, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
