Speedy deletion (copyright violation)

This entire article appears to have been built on copyright violations. Most of the original edits (including the article creation) seem to be based, at least in part, on [1]. I have looked at our article on Aranmula kannadi and we have never had the same text as the website on that subject so I can only conclude that we've copied from them rather than them wholesale copying from us. The significant addition on 06:12, 28 December 2008 is taken from [2]. Given all these copyright violations I suspect that there is very little on the page that isn't a copyright violation and extracting what isn't is nearly impossible and probably wouldn't produce a viable article.                                          'The re-engineering of genetical codes in Padayani'

Padayani an ancient life science evolved from the ancient Tribal Masters devised a method of re-engineering of genitical patterns by neural printing. Those who draw the masks where Astorologers (Kanians), Astrology is the technology of time management. The astrological plans were drawn on the mask made of araknut leafs (pala). Vastu is the technology of space , the ‘kolams’ where performed in the collective counciousseness. The lines drawn on the where printed in the neural systems of those who witness padayani, will later manifest in air and space. The ‘kolams’ where drawn by the five colors from nature represent panchbhutas, the five elements air ,fire ,water ,ether and space (akasha) elements. Balck(burned wood powder),Green(color of araknut leaf (pala)),white (removing the green portion of pala),Yellow(turmeric powder),brown (powdered brown stone).Spirituality is the technology of consciousness. The dancer with ‘kolams’ where performed in the collective consciousness, the performer wearing the mask(kolam) is energized with songs, rhythms of instrument ‘Thappu’. Each mask while performing captures respective psychic vibes and purifies the consciousness psychic vibes captured on the mask where released to the nature.

When power is given to the electromagnet it attracts the iron flings and when the power is stopped it drops the iron flings. Similarly when the dancer wearing the mask is powered by energizing with songs and rhythms and fire attracts the respective psychic vibes. When the songs and rhythm stops it drops the captured psychic vibes to to the nature.The psychic vibeswhich are harmfull for the human may be of good influence for the trees and other creatures. On conclusion of the padayani the villagers form a boat on the land (Karavanchy) rowing towards the deity. The collective consciousness of human and other creatures in the nature is rowing in the time and space together with earth as boat.

                                                                        Kalan Kolam

The ancient masters of padayani who are having in-depth insight into the genitical continuity devised the Kalan Kolam which visually transmits the insight to viewers. The Kalan kolam in pdayani visually presents to the viewers there is no death in creation and is state change of psych and physique or like simply changing the dress(vesham).

The story and sankalpa of Markandeya depicts more incarnation can be taken to the same body and psych and physique can stay at the age of 16, as the sankalpa penetrate and deep root in the cells, the whole body cells allow the time to free flow and remain at the adolescence by psyque and physique. Kaniyars were the preceptors of Nairs in martial training

The word Kaniyar means 'one who calculates.' Kaniyars are mainly associated with astrology. They have no connection with Kalarippayattu. Nairs were experts in Kalarippayattu. Today, Kaniyars are included in the list of backward castes. Backward communities in Kerala are those communities which had to suffer untouchability and were not allowed to enter inside the temples. Kaniyars later changed their caste name to Kalari Kurup/Kalari Panicker to raise their social status but are seen as a backward community in Kerala.

Nairs mostly go to Brahmin astrologers to seek solutions to the problems in their family. One of the main reasons why they don't prefer Kaniyars is that Kaniyars are ardent devotees of 'Kuttichathan' and perform witchcraft. Whereas, most of the Brahmins are Saatvik people. Nairs mainly worship Serpent Gods and Goddess Durga.

From Martial races of undivided India by Vidya Prakash Tyagi: "Irrespective of different theories that seek to explain that seek to explain the ancestry of Nairs, it is clear that until the early 20th century, Nairs exerted their influence in medieval Kerala society as feudal lords and owned large estates. The position in the society of Nairs as that of martial nobility in medieval Kerala has been likened to the position in society of Samurai in medieval Japan. Nairs dominated the civil, administrative and military elite of pre-British era in Kerala."

"Nair men were known for their skills as warriors in protecting their thriving coastal community from outside forces."

From Portuguese Vocables in Asiatic Languages: From the Portuguese, Volume 1 By Sebastião Rodolfo Delgado: "I have remarked that only tame and train this animal(elephant), and at Calecut(Kozhikode) I have seen little Nair boys caressing little elephants and leading them hither and thither, and so becoming familiar with them. Only Nairs control them their food and lead them to the town or elsewhere, and none ther would dare to come near them. Led by his Nair, no animal is more docile or tractable."

From ancient palm-leaf manuscripts in Vattezhuthu script: "Hail the Nakas(Nagas) the ones with big moustaches , broad chest, powerful physiques, sacred ash-bearing forehead, hands powerful enough to smash the skull of a lion in one blow, who are masters in martial arts, extremely proficient in archery and use of swords, and so acrobatic that they can spring to great heights and do somersaults in air, capable of single-handedly driving back a herd of elephants."

From Caste and Territory in Malabar by Eric J.Miller: "Specialties linked with military subcastes of Nairs and castes above them. Among Nambuthiris, only the eldest son was permitted to marry within the caste. But he and his younger brothers could take wives from Royal families or from superior Nair subcastes. The Royal castes were all exogamous: their women were married to Nambuthiris, while their men took Nair wives. Such hypergamy was practiced on a restricted scale among upper Nair subcastes. Your arguments about Proper kaniyar are mere assumptions , most of them does not match with the reality....Proper Kaniyars were ardent devotees of Navagraha, Ganapathi and Godess saraswathi,Godess Durga and they worshipped pantheons of Hindu deities like vishnu, siva etc , there were regional variation in cultural practice among them ,so did kuttichathan and like crept into the fold of certain subsets in that caste..

It is a dead sure fact that kaniyar were preceptors of Nairs in Kalari training...' there are more than enough historic evidences which tells the truth.. See what we could learn from the book of L Anantha krishna iyer (The Cochin Tribes and Castes - Volume 1 - Page 187) is something entirely contrary to your arguments... "For every such village in the northern parts of the State, there was also a Kalari Panikkan with a kalari (gymnastic or military ... profess even now a preceptorship to the Nairs, and the Nairs show them some respect by being present at their marriages and other' ...." it has been found even in several other books also

Even the foreign travellers had witnessed the pre eminence of astrology caste in Kerala . it has been documented by almost all writers .who were guests or kins of lazy classes. it is clear that Not only the Nairs and all other leisurely classes of Kerala, but the Kings also had always sought the help of Kaniyars for finding the astrological interpretation of reasons behind every bad and good event of their life, they depended on them for all predictions , and to calculate and find auspicious time for any life and social events ( such as Thalikettu, beginning of new ventures, wars etc )

Kaniyars are Rashi Panickers, alias Kalari Panickers

From Kerala -Volume 1 by Suresh Kumar Singh, T.Madhavan Menon, D.Tyagi "KANIYAN: The Kaniyan are known by different names in different regions of Kerala, such as the Kaniyan or Balleyyaya in northern areas, the Panikar in Central Malabar, the Ganaks or Ganika in Cochin area, the Kani or Kanian or Kanisan in Travancore area. But irrespective of their local reference, they are now generally called the Kaniyar or Kaniyan. Kalari Panicker is one of the several regional alternate names of Kaniyar. Especially at the mid zone part of Kerala.. it is written in the same book from wchich you made the above quote (From Kerala -Volume 1 by Suresh Kumar Singh, T.Madhavan Menon, D.Tyagi') "... Kaniyans are traditionally astrologers of the future events .In olden times, a few of them were engaged in giving martial training (kalaripayattu) ,but this practice is almost dead….in olden times some of them used to be called Kalari Panikar in Malabar region and Kalari kurup in cochin..” page 563
