I'll be reviewing this shortly Ealdgyth - Talk 13:44, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
  • Taxonomy:
    • Links for zoologist, ichthyologist, entomologist, biogeographic dividing point, subclades?
I paused before as I was worried about a sea of blue, so have now linked first three, and "biogeography" as the dividing point is self-explanatory. Subclade links to haplogroup - which is not at the right level. Have changed it to "lineages", subclade in this sense is better linked to "clade" so done Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 14:28, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • "Alternative names include southern blue-eye and northern blue-eye." - do these get applied to the subspecies particularly or are both alternate names applied to both subspecies?
Even though it is (to me) obvious they refer to the two subspecies respectively...there is no source that confirms this, hence I can't really comment. I will try and look in some older sources as it seems silly for there not to be one Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 14:28, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's frustrating as no source I have access to spells it out. Googling the terms, sometimes "southern blue-eye" seems to refer to the combined species as it is more southerly than all the others. So I can't speculate... Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 15:05, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Distribution:
    • links for dune lagoons, salt marshes, tidal pools, mangroves?
linked Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 14:43, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • I think somethings missing here: "Within areas of fast, it shelters in areas of slower-moving water"
tweaked Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 14:43, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Behavior:
    • link estuarine environment?
linked to "estuary" Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 14:43, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Feeding:
    • Change of tense in this sentence is jarring: "The Pacific blue-eye forages using vision, and the turbidity of the water impacted on its ability to find food."
tweaked Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 14:43, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
ANGFA is the society - and many of the members have bred, discovered and written peer-reviewed papers on these fish. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 14:43, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • I randomly googled three phrases and only turned up Wikipedia mirrors. Earwig's tool shows no sign of copyright violation.
I've put the article on hold for seven days to allow folks to address the issues I've brought up. Feel free to contact me on my talk page, or here with any concerns, and let me know one of those places when the issues have been addressed. If I may suggest that you strike out, check mark, or otherwise mark the items I've detailed, that will make it possible for me to see what's been addressed, and you can keep track of what's been done and what still needs to be worked on. Looks good. Passing this now. Ealdgyth - Talk 14:14, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
