Lack of references and a strong viewpoint from the author make this a large stub. The criticism on the talk page should be aimed at amending the article. Seems to me that you need more than one person to get a good consensus. Victuallers 19:39, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added a ref for you .... needs more Victuallers 21:05, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed some vandalism on the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.114.238.29 (talk)

I added the thing about the time issue while I was at school. Like I said, I tried my hardest to be NPOV, and I THINK I succeeded...if not, please fix it! :) ~Anna Nickel — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.12.165.191 (talk)

I am thinking of merging the article called Classes at Pacific Collegiate School that I created into a Curriculum section in this article. If anyone objects, they can revert the changes. --67.112.120.119 15:23, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV issues

[edit]

I don't think it really needs explaining - basically the whole article is full of pro-PCS comments without a single verifiable source for any of the claims. This should be addressed. --Pak21 08:29, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now, seeing as how I am a PCS student, I may be somewhat biased, but...I really don't agree with that. A lot of it is simply stating the facts. I know what goes on at my school, and just about everything listed in the article is true. There is (unfounded, in my opinion) concern about racism, classism, and the like. The school does have a reputation as being "elitist"--as well as a reputation for being challenging. Trust me. I go there. I'm familiar with the place. And I'm not some huge PCS fangirl either. These are just the facts. Nothing more that I've noticed. ~Mandy! (For best results, use twice daily.) 22:06, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is about verifiability, not truth. --Pak21 07:35, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Shippy, what you're describing verges on original research, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. Take a look at this google news archive search, there is enough material there to write a solid article about PCS without venturing into What Wikipedia is Not -- Zedla 07:53, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added a Diversity section to address the primary contentious issue about PCS that comes up in the Santa Cruz Sentinel, the Santa Cruz School Board, and the County Office of Education. I think that this is more even handed than the Controversies section that was taken down in June 2007. I've added citations here, though I do have to agree with Pak21 that the rest of the article could also use citations, if only to the appropriate parts of the PCS website.
