Overview of signal transduction pathways involved in apoptosis.

Diagram

[edit]

A diagram would be nice. Ideally something more relevant than Signal transduction v1.png (>) which doesn't show mTOR.

I've used the MTOR-pathway diagram from mTOR (below/right) for now.

mTOR signaling pathway.[1]

It shows mTOR but includes more than we need.

Rewrite Dec 2014

[edit]

I plan on completely redoing the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway page from Wikipedia. I will discuss multiple targets of the PI3K/AKT pathway. I will discus its various effects on controlling the proliferation or differentiation of neural stem cells. I will discuss modern, neural therapeutic techniques that are being researched. I will also talk about its effects in LTP. I will be starting this page from scratch as there is nothing there now that I didn’t either restate or is insignificant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.43.220.97 (talk) 00:29, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like 149.43.220.97 did it on the 7th Dec (and that IP has done nothing else). Seems unbalanced now to focus on neural issues. The information re cancer in the previous version seems lost/buried. Needs rebalancing - perhaps find a recent review ? - Rod57 (talk) 21:28, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Temp could put old page in a new section on Cancer - Rod57 (talk) 21:49, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lots of copies of same reference - not named and shared

[edit]

I fixed one - then realised there were many more. (Possibly introduced by Dexbot Aug 2015.) - Rod57 (talk) 21:17, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
