[edit]Vandalism. I noticed that the years the show aired have been vandalized so I corrected the years.
My Bookworm Bunch Schedule
[edit]If I'd been in charge of PBS Kids during the years 2000-2004, here's what the history of Bookworm Bunch would have been.
Season 1: Instead of being only three hours, the block would be four-and-a-half hours; along with all of the shows it had, it would also have had Arthur, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and (despite its unpopularity) Caillou. In addition, the Corduroy segments would air side by side.
Season 2: Instead of Corduroy, Elliot Moose, or any of the other shows being canceled, the block would be expanded to five-and-a-half hours with the addition of Anne of Green Gables: The Animated Series and Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat.
Season 3: The block would have run for three seasons instead of only two. The Berenstain Bears would have been added, raising the block to six full hours. Also, a weekday version wouldn't have aired.
Here are some shows that would never have aired on Bookworm Bunch:
The Magic School Bus: this show had already aired its last episode by the time Bookworm Bunch premiered (you could argue, however, that they could have made more seasons for it for Bookworm Bunch)
Reading Rainbow and Between the Lions: although they were themed around books, they weren't actually based on books
Any shows that premiered later than 2003 (least of all after the block's dissolution, for obvious reasons)
What do you think? How would the timeline for Bookworm Bunch have gone if you'd been in charge of PBS Kids from 2000-2004?
