This article is entitled "Oyster Bay Long Island Rail Road Turntable". It had several sections that were about other Oyster Bay LIRR historic equipment or related organizations. I deleted them because they didn't say anything related to anything about the turntable. Per historic-designation status, the turntable itself seems to pass notability standards for having an article. If there are wider topics or historic-preservation/museum/etc groups to be discussed, then they either need their own article or else this article needs to be renamed to include them. But all that assumes there is notability for those groups. DMacks (talk) 14:22, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Far as I can see (never visited) the turntable is the centerpiece of an incipient museum. Yes, this particular relic is suitable as the topic of an article but nonetheless I support renaming the article to be about the museum, including the turntable. I Oppose renaming it. The article is specifically for the turntable which is on NRHP separately from the station or the proposed museum. A separate article on the museum is a good idea, though and the material that was deleted from this one should go there. ----DanTD (talk) 02:40, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
