Covalent binding

Apparently the lesser potency contra oxymorphone is from the hydrazone permanently binding to other targets on the way to the opioid receptors. Some types mentioned as 'covalent bonds' in a similar manner are not in fact so, but are rather mustards which make the drug a part of the cell via alkylation instead of simply binding covalently.
