Preserved, traditional, administrative... I muddle them all up, so anyone watching this article is strongly encouraged to check for and fix any errors and to fill in the bits I missed! --Telsa 09:31, 10 November 2005 (UTC) The author refers several times to Overton as a town. It is in fact a village. 86.143.185.105 (talk) 20:26, 11 November 2010 (UTC)(Bugsybanana) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.143.185.105 (talk) 18:31, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Overton is a town, albeit small and rural. It had market and borough rights, for one thing, and was a contributory borough to Flintshire. E. Davies (place names of Flintshire) describes it as a "town and parish in Maelor Saesneg". There was a market hall and market until the late 19th century.
