precedence

[edit]

It says that in the USAF they can wear both short and long service ribbons at the same time. My question is: which one has precedence long or short?--75.88.155.19 (talk) 20:46, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The short, according to the factsheet, and more explicitly according to afi36-2803, section 5.3.9.3 on page 155 of the Dec. 2013 version of that document (page 167 in this pdf file). Cheers, Gecko G (talk) 08:22, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Posthumous?

[edit]

This question is for all branches. If a soldier/sailor/airman/Marine is killed before meeting the time criteria set for the Overseas Service Ribbon, are they awarded it posthumously? Illegitimate Barrister (talk) 15:11, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

ADT?

[edit]

In the Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon section, the acronym ADT is used without definition. For people unfamiliar with US armed forces acronyms, this could lead to some confusion. As I myself am not sure exactly what ADT refers to, could someone who does know the definition add it in? Jionunez (talk) 04:05, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
