Wikiwand - a copy or a source?

[edit]

Is the Wikiwand page:

https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Outwood_Academy_Adwick

a copy if our article? Or our article is a copy from Wikiwand? --CiaPan (talk) 20:39, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is a direct mirrorof the Wikipedia page and acknowledged as such. Not any sort of problem.  Velella  Velella Talk   01:51, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How about this one?

https://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/retro/its-special-date-former-pupils-and-staff-doncaster-school-459604

Some sentences seem copied directly from that page... Is it copyvio here? --CiaPan (talk) 20:51, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I suspect that there may be a common source here which may be a website controlled by a significant contributor to this article. Having said that, I am struggling to match significant quantities of text between the article and the press report. I am happy to be shown where there is close matching. The Wikiwand is clearly a copy (acknowledged) of the recent Wikipedia article. The article in the Doncaster Free Press is based on material nearly all supplied by Kenpj - as honorary historian of the defunct Percy Jackson Grammar School. I am aware of the Cleanup template on Outwood Academy Adwickpage and will endeavour to do something about. I really struggle with the format/punctuation of citations/ref.Regards. I want to add a reference to West Riding County Council minutes on a resolution in 1931 to purchase land for the new school. This is in the West Yorkshire Archives, so is not a webpage, book or journal. What is the Wiki protocol to ref an archive? Regards.
