[edit]The Outside Plant topic is named inconsistently with WP:MoS, contains no new information. It should be made into a redirect to this. (Neither has reliable sources, but this is the place to start). Tedickey (talk) 20:26, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Copy Edit
[edit]I think I've got this in pretty good shape now, added a number of references, did a fair bit of editing, so I'm taking off the copy edit tag. Nuujinn ([[User talk:Nuujinn|talk]]) 03:03, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Outside plant → Outside Plant (OSP) – search on OSP doesn't link to this page, though it is a common abbreviation used in telecom to refer to Outside Plant Shakaz (talk) 10:52, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. In fact, a search for OSP will find a disambiguation page that links to this article. The suggested new title does not match the usual titling conventions for articles. 64.105.98.115 (talk) 17:15, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose – unlike our usual title conventions in both the caps and the parens. Dicklyon (talk) 20:59, 21 January 2017 (UTC)
- When I saw "outside plant", I first thought of a garden plant that was frost-hardy enough to be planted permanently outside in whatever the area's weather/climate is. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 13:42, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- That's a good point, actually. If there's an appropriate article about frost hardiness in cultivated plants it really should be linked in a hatnote. The article Hardiness (plants) doesn't cover the topic specifically enough in my opinion - it's about all plants, and most of them are naturally found outside. 64.105.98.115 (talk) 00:58, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
