Labyrinth (film)
[edit]I feel it should be noted that this book was the basis of the movie Labyrinth. --Wardrich (talk) 05:44, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
- That has been done but it is marked CITATION NEEDED. --P64 (talk) 20:28, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
The credits for Labyrinth on the IMDB cite Maurice Sendak. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0784124/ and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091369/fullcredits#writers — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.148.185.244 (talk) 03:47, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
Origins in Mythology and Folklore
[edit]The child abduction theme (and particularly by fairies, goblins, dwarves, or the devil) is very old as well as is the changeling. I think there should be an Origins in Mythology and Folklore section. Thoughts? HullIntegrity (talk) 11:37, 17 May 2014 (UTC)
- Looking to see if I can find a source outside Wikipedia other than the changeling article (which mentions Outside Over There). HullIntegrity (talk) 22:58, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
Trilogy
[edit]I have seen references to Outside Over There being part of a trilogy with In the Night Kitchen and Where the Wild Things Are. I am going to try and hunt that down as it ties the three books together as a progressions by age from Kitchen, to Wild Things, to Outside. HullIntegrity (talk) 11:58, 17 May 2014 (UTC)
- I added the reference to the trilogy with a source from the Where the Wild Things Are page but the age categories still need to be verified with a source. I am pretty sure I can find it. HullIntegrity (talk) 16:29, 17 May 2014 (UTC)
Pieces that need revision
[edit]These sentences are confusing and need to be revised for clarity: "Ida sets off after her baby sister, but nearly misses her when she leaves backwards out of her window, entering Outside Over There. She hears her father's voice telling her to turn around and does so, which enables her to catch the goblins in a wedding." HullIntegrity (talk) 23:34, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
Assessment
[edit]I initially assessed this article as a c but on reflection reduced it to a start as it needs more references; inspiration and other section have no refs and the awards section has only one. Finding appropriate refs could bring this article up to a c, including a reception section with referenced reviews would make it a strong c (or higher?).Coolabahapple (talk) 01:40, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
- Agreed. I will consider adding it to my list since I love the book and teach it. HullIntegrity\ talk / 03:56, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
