Dates
[edit]Sylvia, thanks so much for making changes to this list. I am glad you know which dates were cancelled, added, venue changed, etc. My only concern is being sure we provide sources to reflect these changes from the original references. Eventually, I would love to see this article expanded to include critical reception of the concert tour itself, revenue figures, images, etc. If you have any sources to reflect these changes, please feel free to include! --Another Believer (Talk) 15:18, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
- Reminder to self: examples of Good articles include ...Baby One More Time Tour, Butterfly World Tour, Confessions Tour, The Fame Ball Tour, Harajuku Lovers Tour, The Monster Ball Tour, Re-Invention World Tour, Sticky & Sweet Tour, The Virgin Tour, Wonder World Tour, Working on a Dream Tour. --Another Believer (Talk) 15:27, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
I have added a reference for the Australia tour in the introduction. I don't think we need a reference for every single tour date. We can link to the tour archive on Rufus' website. This is how it was done in the article about the Virgin Tour. Not all the dates there are Out of the Game tour dates, though. Maybe we should mention that. And we should not add dates that don't belong to this tour, like the Sundance London date. There are also still many dates missing. --Sylvia Anna (talk) 16:53, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
- Agreed regarding dates that are not part of the tour. However, it might be worth noting within the prose section. For instance (making this up now), "In between his August 15 and August 18 tour stops, Wainwright performed in London at the Blah Blah Theater...", just to avoid confusion later and perhaps identify the relevance of the concert and how it relates to the album (if any). Cancelled tour dates should also be noted, with reasons why included. We have to keep in mind that this article will not just be a list of concert dates... it will include details about the tour, setlists, critical and commercial reception, guest artists, stage props, etc. --Another Believer (Talk) 19:59, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
