Oswald's Tale is not a novel, it is a non-fiction account of the five year period that Lee Harvey Oswald spent in Minsk in the Soviet Union. Mailer collaborator Lawrence Schiller managed to get access to the transcripts of the KGB'S wire taps during his life there. Schiller and Mailer spent six months in Russia interviewing those who knew Oswald, the result being this impressive book. Mailer has blurred the distinctions between fiction and non fiction, but one must insist the Oswald's Tale is not a novel as we normally understand the term. The book is factual, not fiction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.132.255.48 (talkcontribs) 03:46, 10 February 2006‎ (UTC)[reply]
