[edit]

Added NPOV banner in regards to paragraph on the youngest daughters books. More sources need to be found to back up the statements and the language needs to be changed to show a neutral point of view.Susan Tol (talk) 22:00, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Susan Tol Does that look better? Nauseous Man (talk) 22:51, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

For legal reasons, as of 8/11/2021, both Mary Egan Publisher and Annamaria Garden have agreed to cease publication of this book and there will be no new editions. Annamaria is arranging the removal of her book from public display at museums and libraries in New Zealand. I will provide a reference as soon as available. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Upfront50 (talkcontribs) 23:47, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Upfront50, thanks for getting in touch. Wikipedia doesn't allow original research, and users are encouraged to avoid editing where there is a clear conflict of interest.
If you could supply, on the talk page, reference to the book being withdrawn from publication (such as a press release, or information otherwise found on the internet) that supports this, then we can make appropriate changes to the page. Nauseous Man (talk) 23:59, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply. The book is published by Mary Egan Publisher. Please make that amendment. I am sure they don't want a press release or any article about the withdrawal. Mary Egan has given the undertaking: 'My client will cease publishing and distributing the Work immediately and further undertakes to not publish any reprints or further editions of the work.' Ditto Anna: 'Annamaria will cease publishing and distributing Oscar Garden by 12 November 2021; and (ii) Annamaria will not publish any reprints or further editions of Oscar Garden; and (iii) Annamaria will arrange the removal of Oscar Garden from public display at museums and libraries (known to Annamaria's publisher or distributor to hold a copy of Oscar Garden) Although the alleged copyright infringement has not been tested in court, the plagiarism of other works is very easy to establish, not only of the 3 works mentioned, but 1930 newspaper articles available online via Trove. You can do it yourself. Anna's e-book is available until 17 November; the deadline for removal has been extended. I've listed some examples on my website Plagiarism which you can't use due to conflict of interest. This is not an opinion. This is a fact. You yourselves can check. The books do not in any way complement each other. As her book will soon be no longer available it might be best not to mention it at all. However, if any news article is written I will let you know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Upfront50 (talkcontribs) 22:22, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
