The article talks about "the airfield at Wilshire Blvd. and Cresent Ave. in Los Angeles". However there is no "Cresent Ave." in Los Angeles and Crescent Ave. is far away from Wilshire Blvd.
I think the correct intersection would be Wilshire Blvd. / Crescent Heights Blvd., this would be consistent with the "Miracle Mile" location given in http://www.cecilbdemille.com/legacy.html
