I am confused so can somebody tell me is Orla irish for Laura!!!!!
Laura, Lauren, Lori, Laurie Laura, Lauren and Laurie/Lori are a modern feminine forms of the name Laurence. In Irish, Laurence is Labhras (LAV ras or LAW ras). You can make this name feminine by adding the suffix ín: Labhraín (LAV reen or LAW reen), or maybe just take the "s" off and make it Labhra (LAV ra or LAW ra).

Embarrassing Hebrew meaning
[edit]I added a little tidbit (no pun intended) on the meaning of the word in Hebrew; the stress might be different, but it will still get a lot of chuckles around Hebrew speakers, especially when written. Siúnrá (talk) 13:39, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
