Starting this article: correct name?
[edit]I have also created redirects already to this article for 2 possible alternative names/approaches: Origin of the Goths, Origins of the Goths. I have started the article with an idea of focusing on the old literature of late antiquity and the study of it. Of course one aspect of that is the question of whether it is true. The reverse approach is also possible: i.e. that the article is primarily about what is historically true, including discussion of the textual evidence. (Note we already have archaeology articles which are to a large extent about this: Chernyakhov culture and Wielbark culture.)
Background. Concerning ideas behind this article see discussions at Goths: [1], [2], [3] (and subsequent discussion). Also at WP:Articles for deletion/Oium.--Andrew Lancaster (talk) 08:12, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
