New Order (France) → Ordre Nouveau — - All political organisations of this name are best known in the English-speaking world as Ordre Nouveau, not by the English translation. Ordre Nouveau already redirects here, and has the benefit that it doesn't need to be disambiguated. --84.92.117.93 (talk) 22:32, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- This appears to be an article without a subject and should be split apart, or renamed List of Ordre Nouveau (France), since it is a list. NOTE - I'm pretty sure there are other Ordre Nouveau in the world, and this seems gallocentric naming. 70.29.209.91 (talk) 03:53, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- I would support splitting this article, as all the organisations of this name are entirely seperate of each other. I don't think this article should be moved to a list form though; there appear to have been only three important organisations called Ordre Nouveau. If this article is split, this page should either have brief summaries of all the organisations, or become a disabiguation page - either way, Ordre Nouveau, the common name, should be the title. As for your comments about the name being "gallocentric", I don't think Ordre Nouveau is the name of any organisation in other parts of the French-speaking world. The English "New Order" obviously has to be disambiguated. 84.92.117.93 (talk) 15:58, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- Split. Makes sense to keep a dab and create three new articles. If "Ordre Nouveau" is used, need WP:RELY to prove that it was seldom translated for Anglophone ears. Probably should contain either in comment, or discussion why the English translation isn't and shouldn't be used to avoid re-inventing the wheel. AND therefore this specific name can be reclaimed by some unrelated association. Maybe need a dab for both Ordre Nouveau and New Order? Student7 (talk) 22:04, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
