I am not sure it is appropriate to list those who have "won" the Order with Collar. It is common practice in European countries for heads of state to exchange Orders. For example Queen Elizabeth tends to make most European Presidents a Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath. Dowew 04:55, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image conflict

[edit]

[[:Image:Whiterose1.jpg|thumb|right|Certificate confirming that the Order of the White Rose was conferred on Ernesto Burzagli in the name of the President of the Finnish Republic in 1926.]] There is a Commons image of the certificate/diploma which was awarded in the name of the Finnish Republic in 1926 ... but it cannot be linked because of another image file with the same name. What do do about the conflict becomes a question I don't know how to begin to address? --Tenmei (talk) 18:24, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Save file from commons, rename and upload with new name. --Yopie 19:06, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
I didn't understand your instructions. The crisp, simple language failed to convey your meaning ... or, expressed in different words, I didn't understand what it was you intended I should do in order to produce the desired effect. When I attempted to follow your directions (incorrectly), the result was to re-create the problem I started with ... alas. --Tenmei (talk) 05:42, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I made it. --Yopie 09:38, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Order of the White RoseOrder of the White Rose of Finland — The proper name of this order is (Order of) the White Rose of Finland, (Finnish: 'Suomen Valkoisen Ruusun r., SVR'), because the name refers to the white rosettes in the Coat of arms of Finland specifically rather than white roses in general. Compare Order of the Lion of Finland rather than "Order of the Lion". Current title should probably be retained as a redirect. --80.221.34.183 (talk) 11:42, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Recipients

[edit]

This order has been awarded thousands upon thousands of times and the Recipients section is a very random selection. We have List of commanders of the Grand Cross of the Order of the White Rose of Finland, which is ambitious but tenable and should be linked to from and summarized here. Otherwise I think this article should only list special cases (e.g. with diamonds). – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 17:29, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
