Holders
[edit]Many other wiki orders pages have the highest grades present holders listed. Now I don't know how many people have say the Grand Cross with Collar of St. Olav to know if this is practical here Alci12 17:24, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- The list is now done. I suspect there might be someone who has been left out and some information is uncertain. Such as the year Hassan of Jordan was appointed. So I have tagged it with the incomplete list template. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Inge (talk • contribs) 23:06, 19 December 2006 (UTC).
- I have now updated the list with all known holders of Grand Cross, being either Heads of States or Royals. However, quite a few non-Norwegians received the order during state visits before 1985, ministers, senior officers and courtiers. These are not listed, and I suppose a complete list is difficult to find. Takvaal (talk) 14:49, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Could someone please explain what this means? Is it getting at that foreign heads of state are merely honourary members of the Order? --Daniel C. Boyer 16:36, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav → Order of St. Olav — Simplify it a bit. Nobody says "Royal Norwegian" in daily speech. The category over at Category:Order of St. Olav has omitted "Royal Norwegian". Most other wikipedias have omitted "Royal Norwegian".--Geschichte (talk) 17:45, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support, since there's no Royal Swedish Order of St. Olav, Royal Danish Order of St. Olav, etc. GoodDay (talk) 18:47, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support, in a search of Google the common name appears to be Order of St. Olav. EricSerge (talk) 19:32, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support. Seems uncontroversial to me. Andrewa (talk) 14:12, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Lion rampaRt?
[edit]As of the date of this comment the page has two references to a "lion rampart". Those are typographical errors (or vandalism, or someone's (in)correction) for "lion rampant", with an "n", "lion rampaNt". If you Google "lion rampart" Google will assume that you mean "lion rampant" until you click the link for really meaning "lion rampart". Please fix.2600:8804:8800:11F:1C64:8308:33BC:E2D6 (talk) 19:55, 28 February 2022 (UTC)Christopher L. Simpson
