Plot Summary
[edit]I've edited the plot summary today, generally clarifying the focus of the plot and removing the name of the accomplice. I'm never sure how much detail should go into these summaries but I would be grateful if later editors would provide comment here on their approach.

- Why have you removed the name of the accomplice?--Jtomlin1uk (talk) 07:57, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
I edited the plot summary a bit, with more active voice and present tense verbs. Family members are named, as are the murderer and the accomplice or master mind. There is no list of characters, so I may add one. —Prairieplant (talk) 16:38, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
Song
[edit]A "leitmotiv" in this novel is the song "The dove on the mast", sung by Kirsten Lindstrom, expressing her longing for love, and deemed to be a Norwegian folksong. This is erroneous, in fact the text is part of a Victorian English poem: Jean Ingelow, Sailing beyond seas Rheinvolk (talk) 22:12, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
