Merge proposal
[edit]Following on from this previous discussion, I believe that the same product sold under different brands can be satisfactorily covered by one article. I will merge in a few days' time unless anyone has a good reason not to. Quackdave (talk) 16:48, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
- Now done, with a few points to mention:
- Images: It is possible that Image:Cbus.JPG may be a copyvio of this, since the Commons uploader and the original photographer both appear to be using real names, which are not the same, with no apparent explanation. The watermark also tends to go against its alleged PD status. Therefore I have not included it in the article. (It shouldn't be hard to obtain a genuine PD replacement.)
- Dimensions: I was surprised to find that the dimensions differed; I have used the original ones which are referenced in the original product spec sheet. If they have indeed changed, and a source can be found, then the revised ones can be reinserted.
- Capacity: The passenger capacity range given on Optare's website is 68-100 seated, which I have used. Although the original spec did give ranges of 41-53 (upper deck) and 22-39 (lower deck), from which it could be inferred that a lower bound of 63 was possible, this was never actually stated. In fact, upper deck capacity is most likely to be reduced if the vehicle is built to coach-spec, and lower deck capacity is most likely to be reduced if the vehicle is of dual-door configuration, and the two are not likely to coincide.
