[edit]"The band reached a wide audience when BBC Radio One DJ David Holmes gave heavy support to Breakfast in NYC."
Am I missing something? When did Holmes become a Radio 1 DJ? Stu ’Bout ye! 12:37, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Dunno when, but I found it here, which is generally a pretty credible source. Stilgar135 13:48, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, allmusic is usually reliable. But think they are wrong in this case. Holmes has done a Essential Mix (in 1997) on Radio 1, but he's never actually had his own show. I presume AMG are getting Holmes mixed up with one of the other Northern Irish DJs on Radio 1 - Colin Murray or Fergie. Stu ’Bout ye! 15:24, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- I wonder if they're using a different definition of "DJ" than us. He might have done a guest week or something like that, or had a show originally broadcast somewhere else that was rebroadcast on Radio 1. Alternately, maybe he was the one who promoted Oppenheimer, but allmusic got his station wrong. It seems sort of strange that allmusic would get something like this wrong. Anyway, I'll look for another source. Stilgar135 16:12, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, tricky one this. I don't think they've had much (if any) Radio 1 airplay. The only show they have had regular airplay on is Across the Line on BBC Radio Ulster. It's possible that Holmes was guesting on that. Holmes doesn't have a regular show on any station, and hasn't done much as Radio 1 recently. Stu ’Bout ye! 19:38, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

I have just added archive links to one external link on Oppenheimer (band). Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
