Page length

At 653,040 bytes, this article is too long; how should it be sub-divided? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 17:39, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

Yes, the page is very long. However 1) iirc, there is a policy that pages that are largely a listing of data can be longer and 2) the data set is now complete. As such, it is not appropriate to split the page, and as the interest in the page is declining with time, certainly not worth the effort. DrArsenal (talk) 22:09, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
None of the points you make justify having an article of over .6 of a Mb. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:42, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
Andy Mabbett what is your specific issue with the page being too long? Are you worried about it being difficult to read or it taking too long to load? Absolutelypuremilk (talk) 19:14, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
The latter; and ditto for editing, Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:15, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
Virtually nobody is doing legitimate editing of the page now, since the data set is complete. However, if you really want to split it, the section on "Sub-National Polling" could be on a different page. But I won't put any effort into untangling it so it can move.
