An issue appears to have arisen. The article repeatedly states that there were no Iraqi civillian casulaties. However, this statement is not verifiable as no record was kept of Iraqi casualties. Also as no information is available regarding Iraqi prisoners it is not known if they were casulties. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Everef (talk • contribs) 20:59, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Mention of the fact that no record was kept of Iraqi casualties and that the fate of prisoners is unknown has repeatedly been deleted. Everef (talk) 20:40, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
- It keeps getting deleted because you need to cite such a controversial statement to a reliable source. Once the info is cited to a suitable source, then the info will stay in. Terrakyte (talk) 03:21, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for using this page instead of sending private messages. The information on lack of recording of casualties is obtainable on the Wikipeda page entitled "Casulalties of the Iraq War" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Iraq_War As for prisoners until offical records are published then the only verifiable fact is that their fates are unknown. - Wikipedia isn't a reliable source. A direct citation to a reliable source is needed, before this info can be allowed to stand. "As for prisoners until offical records are published then the only verifiable fact is that their fates are unknown" No reliable source that I have found says any prisoners were taken whatsoever (we can't assume prisoners were taken), so the fact that the fate of prisoners is unknown is irrelevant to this particular article. I know I may seem harsh, for which I apologize, but these facts that you keep adding have to be directly cited to a reliable source. Terrakyte (talk) 17:36, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Users of Wikipedia - please do not think that all Wikipedia pages have been censored, it is still an excellent source of information on many subjects. It is often said that users need to use their judgement in considering the reliability of articles. This is such an article. Please consider looking at other Wikipedia articles or other online sources to gain further information.Everef (talk) 22:08, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
