Merge this article to Peter Tobin

[edit]

I propose that this article be merged into Peter Tobin. Bigvernie (talk) 20:53, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Disagree presumption of Tobin's innocence must apply until resolution of the investigations. We should not assume guilt, even if there is a possibility of his involvement. If he is responsible the situation will change. Philip Cross (talk) 13:43, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disagree Although initially i thought it should be merged, i agree with the above user, 'philip', that presumption of Tobin's innocence must apply until resolution of the investigations.Monkeymanman (talk) 13:49, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Operation Anagram isn't concerned with anybody else's movements (it's an entirely one-to-one relationship between Tobin and OA) and it's not come up with anything worthy of a separate article. Guilt or innocence shouldn't relate to notable or non-notable.--ML5 (talk) 15:02, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Agree - it's not making any assumptions about guilt, by definition he's innocent until proven guilty. This article is about police procedure more than anything else, the material is largely already in the Tobin article, and it makes sense to keep it all together. • Agree - this operation does not state definitively that Tobin is certainly guilty. Ergo, it cannot be any form of subjudice- subjudice meaning a violation of the individual's right to a fair and unbiased trial. Wikipedia can't act as thought police for the few who would confuse operation anagram with a presumption of guilt, at any rate.--Zucchinidreams (talk) 17:50, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Agree - There is an automatic presumption of innocence within judicial statute. Since OA is only concerned with Tobin it does make sense to incorporate it. I'd suggest in the event of any charges being brought as a result of OA it should be demerged pending the result of any trial.Penfolderoldo (talk) 23:47, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
