Can someone please write about open access as it applies to electricity generation and power markets? I'm thinking especially about the California energy crisis of 2001. --Uncle Ed (talk) 14:35, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Railways

Removed this " Most railways are inherently open access and operate as common carriers."

Questions: is this true in the USA or Canada?

Until recently it was not true in most european countries (see EU Directive 91/440), it's not clear what the situation is in the rest of the world.Shortfatlad (talk) 23:06, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Trivial examples

This article jumps back and forth between presenting info about open access infrastructure and mentioning very specific examples. These examples are randomly placed in the article and seem trivial. Should such examples be in this article? ~ Tropicalsundae (talk) 02:48, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
