[edit]Hi there. I just updated the OpenGEM entry with newer information about the distribution. OpenGEM recently reached Release 4, and some pretty major changes were made to it.

Gone
[edit]As mentioned very briefly in the text, the Shaneland site is now a single page with one of those annoying "something's coming - it's a secret for now" type messages. Whether OpenGEM is available anywhere else I have no idea. though as it's GPL I can't see why it shouldn't be. 86.136.255.51 (talk) 03:46, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Update 11/27/10
[edit]To add to the guy above me, as of the date above, Shane Coughlan's site is still down, and he has essentially disappeared from the Internet, with his Twitter @opendawn abandoned in June. OpenGEM has ceased any form of updating, and while downloads for version 6 are floating around, it is unclear whether these are full releases or the 3 year old beta releases. -- 04:48, 27 November 2010 142.167.233.84
Update 4/21/16
[edit]Just to clarify, the official distribution of OpenGEM is via the FreeDOS website, and version 6 is the latest complete (non-beta) version. I am updating the article to reflect this status. - Shane Coughlan
Doscore
[edit]Shouldn't Doscore be mentioned in the See also section? --109.189.99.41 (talk) 18:56, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
