I want to know how to correct this page. (by User:Shanmuha)

Click on the "Article" tab and then click on the "Edit this page" tab. Go nuts. Rklawton 10:07, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is an excellent start and it can be written in Wikistyle. I'll also contribute. Right now I've committed too much. Oottukkadu Venkatasubbaier is one of the greatest composers prior to the trinity --Aadal 15:04, 4 August 2006 (UTC) Spelling in the title is incorrect. It must be Oothukkadu. In the first paragraph correct spelling is found. I tried to correct but could not.[reply]

Cleanup

[edit]

I have tried and wikified this article. This needs further cleanup to make the language more encyclopaedic. See Manual of style for suggestions. Particularly one should avoid POV praises such as Venkata Kavi’s Navavaranams abound in Srividya Upasana aspects and show his scholarship in no small measure. . WP articles should report, not assert. Original research is not permitted in WP. Every statement or claim should be fully backed up with appropriate citations. At the moment this article does not have any references. This is a must. Please cite some references soon. Otherwise this article will be tagged.

This article also reads very technical. Remember that this is an English language encyclopedia and the readers may not be familiar with Carnatic music technical terms. Please try to keep to English words and adjectives. Avoid using terms such as Vidwat and Guru .

I will try and do a bit more cleanup before I remove the {{cleanup}} tag. - Parthi 01:43, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am not against any particular language, but there should be fairness in treatment of different languages. I fail to understand the reason for the Telugu script and that too ahead of the Tamil script. Venkata Kavi was neither a Telugu nor any of his compositions were in that language. Refer to Tyagaraja's wiki page which has his name only in the Telugu script and not in Tamil despite the fact that he was born in Tamil country. And Purandara Dasa's name is mentioned only in the Kannada script.

Marathi?

[edit]

The intro mentions that he has compositions in Marathi, but the rest of the article gives no proof or examples of that. This makes the claim suspect. 2601:641:300:255:FC48:3CC7:6386:33FC (talk) 14:47, 7 July 2021 (UTC)KalK[reply]
