I created the article because it seemed remarkable that the Onyx - along with other famous 52d Street venues like the Three Deuces - lacked articles. There's not a whole lot of good on-line sourcing for these places (at least that I could find in a few minutes of looking) but they are important places in the history of jazz during the 30s and 40s. If / when I find some decent histories of the Onyx I will add to the article and in the meantime ask the forebearance of other editors in keeping the page in place.
