Married? Single?
"The show was created by Whitney Blake and Allan Manings, a husband-and-wife writing duo who were both actors in the 1950s and 1960s. The show was based on Whitney Blake's own life as a single mother..." I'm sure this makes sense if you know what really went on, but it should be clarified -- the first sentence depicts Whitney as married, the second as single -- did she have the kid before her marriage? After her divorce? GeneCallahan (talk) 07:45, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- It seems clear enough. If she was a single mother and wrote about that experience with her husband, she must have been a single mother before she married him. She could hardly have written the show and then beocme the single mother she'd written about. Her daughter's surname being something other than Blake or Manings makes it clear that Blake had the daughter with someone other than Manings. We don't know whether Blake was ever married to Meredith Baxter's father, but that doesn't matter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.100.203.73 (talk) 07:51, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:One Day at a Time.jpg
Image:One Day at a Time.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Theme Song
Does it go against policy to display the theme song lyrics? - NBK1122 20:15, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
Syndication
As recent as January 2007, "One Day at a Time" is back on the Comcast On Demand channel. Under "Tube Time" so the information in the article is incorrect. 75.75.176.243 (talk) 02:11, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
First episode & Deja View
Julie's age is stated as 16, not 17 by Ann because she won't let Julie go on a mixed sex camping trip.
Schneider hits on Ann and to which Ann reminds him that he has a wife downstairs in his apartment; so he's married. What happened to his wife?
Reruns just started on Monday, January 5, 2009 on Canadian diginet Deja View. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Macshill (talk • contribs) 08:25, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
Schneider's wife was gone a few episodes later. I think she ran off with Richie and Joanie Cunningham's older brother :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.22.115.88 (talk) 05:26, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Premarital Sex
In the article it mentions Barbara dealing with premarital sex but that comes up later in the series. Julie brings the issue up in the first season in Episode 8 "All the Way". 24.22.115.88 (talk) 05:25, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Wasn't the mother a recovering alcoholic?
Hence the title? Ifnkovhg (talk) 06:05, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- As if the saying can't be used in any other way? Really, I've heard it used by a lot of different people in many situations where they have to cope with thigns. Like, say, divorce. :-)108.87.77.177 (talk) 00:09, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
