Hello! I will be reviewing this article. This is my second review; sorry if I make some mistakes. I see that you have reference ideas in the talk page, so I don't know if you've finished it. Let me know if I have to wait a bit or it's ready. CatchMe (talk) 00:32, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- The article is ready. I usually use the additional Refrences thing as basically extended reading: sometimes there are sources which are weaker or have somewhat different commentary and whatnot but don’t really have a use. Dw about what happens, its aight. // Chchcheckit (talk) 11:28, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- Got it. CatchMe (talk) 15:34, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- @CatchMe All things are done. Damn, mustve really been knocked out when I last ce'd this some of the errors are egregious to me // Chchcheckit (talk) 18:08, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- Good, will do the factually accurate and verifiable criteria later. By the way, did you consider adding the singles/music videos to the lead and an alt text to the cover artwork? CatchMe (talk) 18:35, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- @CatchMe done. // Chchcheckit (talk) 18:40, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, done? // Chchcheckit (talk) 00:56, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- @CatchMe ping, my bad // Chchcheckit (talk) 01:00, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- Good job on this article! I will ✓ Pass this now after the fixes and clarifications detailed below :) CatchMe (talk) 02:02, 12 December 2024 (UTC)

Overall: |
· · · |
Reasonably well written
[edit]Lead
- ...
by British post-hardcore band
... - "by the British post-hardcore band" per WP:FALSETITLE It lyrics discuss topics
... - "Its lyrics discuss topics..."- Remove link to common terms regret and social media per WP:OVERLINK.
- Add "Upon its release" before
One Day All This Will End was well received
... to connect the critic and pressing sentences. Otherwise they don't feel too related. After that, remove ...of its release
. - ...
and sold out of its first pressing
... - remove "of"
Background and recording
- Link first mention of Svalbard.
- Mention Cherry's first name and their ocupation in the band for context. The same with Phelan and Lilley.
- Add quotes to "clunky".
- Maybe you should link "mastered" to Mastering (audio) as it is not so common among people without music knowledge.
Composition and lyrics
- I suggest changing the section's title to "Composition" or "Music and lyrics", because this feels a bit redundant.
- Decapitalize the first letter of a quote that begins in the middle of a sentence. This happens three times I think, in the quotations starting with "
Angry but reflective
...", "Disintegration is inevitable
...", and "The kind of words
..."
Critical reception
- ...
on Metal Hammer's year-end "Albums of 2015" list.
- "on Metal Hammer's year-end list of the best albums of 2015.
Personnel
- I would change
Personnel per liner notes
to "Personnel is adapted from the liner notes of the album." - Link "mixing" to Audio mixing (recorded music) and "mastering" to Mastering (audio) for the reason above.
Factually accurate and verifiable
[edit]- The second use of reference 1 does not verify the sentence previous to it, so you should remove it (the "<ref name="UpsetMagInt" />", not the sentence, which is well-sourced with reference 2).
- Many sources are not mainstream, I think? Because I had not seen them. The following websites are not included in here or here, or do not have articles on Wikipedia: ref 2 Music&Riots, ref 3 Idioteq, ref 4 Louder Than War, ref 5 Handwritten-Mag.de, ref 6 Metal Recusants, ref 8 Bristol24/7, ref 14 Circuit Sweet, ref 20 Punktastic, and ref 23 Already Heard. Please let me know if they are used in other GAs, or you have information regarding their reliability.
- Since I'm using those sources for interviews and not commentary/reviews i've assumed its basically fine; ive had no issues over that. // Chchcheckit (talk) 00:50, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- for an underground band, especially at this stage in their career, you're generally gonna be hard pressed to find articles from mainstream publications. but i consciously avoided using non-mainstream articles for describing the content of the music and lyrics. everything else is usually fine, always good to check wp:perennial sources ig. interviews were used for the creators/musicians comment ig. // Chchcheckit (talk) 00:59, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- I understand. CatchMe (talk) 02:02, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- As far as I can tell, the sources 4 or 6 do not say "EP", they only call it a "split".
- Maybe I'm wrong, but I didn't find mention of crust punk in the sources.
- they refer to it as its shorthand, "crust". also redid, // Chchcheckit (talk) 00:50, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- Good. CatchMe (talk) 02:02, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- Ref 10 doesn't mention Cherry and Phelan.
- Ref 15 and 18 are the same. You should merge them.
- Earwig's Copyvio shows "violation unlikely" with 22.5%. Looks great.
Broad in its coverage
[edit]- Why there is no mention of the two singles in the lead and in Release and promotion? I suggest you add a sentence mentioning them in the lead and their release information to Release and promotion, moving the references from the infobox there.
Neutral point of view policy
[edit]- This looks great.
Stable
[edit]- No edit wars, also looks great.
Images
[edit]- A cover artwork with free rationale, but it doesn't have alt text. Otherwise it looks good, no other images.
