Serial killer? Nope

[edit]

At the bottom of this page are listed categories to which this article belongs. Several of these categories are about serial killers, which Mateen was not. He was a mass murderer. I want to remove those categories, but they did not appear in the Talk page edit box. Any editor is invited to remove the categories:

  • C-Class Serial killer-related articles
  • Low-importance Serial killer-related articles
  • WikiProject Criminal Biography/Serial Killer task force

It's been four years, but I will likely keep having to explain this so I will write it here so I can copy paste it in the future: This is because this article talk page is tagged with the serial killer task force, which also applies to mass killers and spree killers. It's called the serial killer task force because being honest most people don't know the difference and the definitions are so confused by so many jurisdictions that there is no one good term, and sometimes mass killers are seen as a sub type of serial killer or vice versa. Ah, definitions... PARAKANYAA (talk) 09:45, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
