Lynne Olver (librarian)
[edit]Altho the creation of the accompanying SIA page is overdue, my purpose in creating it is to make it easier to refer to Lynne Olver (librarian) on talk pages without having her confused with Lynne Olver (journalist). They may well each be notable, but that is AFAIK yet to be determined.
The librarian became director of the Morris County Library this year. She gave an interview published by the Daily Record (Morristown) July 12, 2009, following that promotion, which was reprinted on "The Official Weblog of the New Jersey Library Association", presumably at the library's request. (I found other pages saying she'd run the Reference Dept. there for years, and worked as a ref libn at the West Hartford PL.) More interestingly, she is
- _ _ the sole compiler of the massive (70-some thousand words: picture nearly a half million characters before markup, and bear in mind that we still start nagging editors at 31,000 characters, even when the markup is included, so the timeline is probably well over 20 articles'-worth) Food Timeline, and
_ _ a contributor of two articles to the Oxford Encyclopedia of Food and Drink in America, Andrew J. Smith editor, Oxford University Press:New York] 2004 -- one among the sources she documents with professional care on the Timeline.

- Didn't realize i'd kept this window open: "Linked-In" statement of WHPL connection; might save some effort later for someone.

Lynne Olver (journalist)
[edit]I described her as "North American" bcz she's written business & financial news for Dow Jones with Toronto and Vancouver datelines and, judging from e-mail domains associated with her, may have also worked for Thomson Reuters. Best guess is Toronto office, since she has been listed with phone #s in Area code 416. Not the same person as the librarian, since the other has been pursuing a clearly full-time career for a decade or more. She'll be harder, IMO, to document beyond stub level, but i hope her red-lk can be retained since she's visible enuf to be confusing.
