Anonymous edits
[edit]One or more editors who choose to remain anonymous have repeatedly added assertions to this article and removed warnings that the assertions are not backed up by any reliable sources. Wikipedia cannot present unsourced assertions about a living person without at least warning the reader. An apparently innocent statement such as "in 1975 he married Jane Smith, and they had two children" may in fact be libelous. If no reliable source (preferably independent of the subject) can be found to support an assertion about a living person, it must be removed. The anonymous editors should consider whether the unsourced information is essential to an encyclopedia article, and what they are trying to achieve. Wikipedia is not the place to make political statements - there are many other forums. Aymatth2 (talk) 23:52, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
