Bare urls

[edit]

In response to a request at WikiProject Ireland re bare urls and the Irish Times, the refs are: "Man sues football club for sum of £21,789", IT 20 January 1984, p. 10; "Club to pay man £10,000", IT 9 February 1984, p. 8; "Convicted men allege libel over wrong charge report", IT 8 May 1986, p. 10; and "Men win £4,000 damages in newspaper libel action", IT 9 May 1986, p. 10. copied from WP:IRL talk page: The Irish Times subscription model is a problem, so I try to use other Irish papers instead. Here are a few links I found: RTE, Shelbourne FC, Irish Times and Daily Mirror at Highbeam. Also try a Google news search. For someone who is described as one of the most colorful and controversial characters in Irish football the article certainly does not convey that. I would tend to remove all the year sections and combine them into one. It would read better if edited. I don't know soccer so really can't help you. ww2censor (talk) 13:35, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A couple of book references here and here. --Scolaire (talk) 14:08, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And some more news items here, here, here and here. --Scolaire (talk) 14:21, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much Scolaire for fleshing out those IT sources anf inding some more. As I posted at WT:IE, I stumbled upon this by chance and tried to clean up what I could, but got stuck with the archived link. - Marchjuly (talk) 23:39, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
