Move to "Ole and Lena jokes"?
[edit]Hi all,
At present, the lead section correctly matches the article title - the stock characters in "Ole and Lena" jokes. The content of the article, however, is not about Ole and Lena (and Sven), but about jokes in which Ole and Lena (and Sven) are stock characters. I would argue that the content of the article would be more intuitively accessible to a reader if the article title was changed to "Ole and Lena jokes". Your thoughts?

A couple of observations/questions
[edit]The article states that one would not hear Ole and Lena jokes in Scandinavia, but judging from the examples, that's a misleading truth. Apart from the actual names, I've heard many of them. And they are all in the same format as the jokes Scandinavians use about each other, or possibly two neighbouring communities, though it would not surprise me if that kind of joke is quite universal. However, none of the examples seem to have anything to do with immigration. Are they not typical of what's unique about Ole and Lena jokes? Ters (talk) 11:24, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
When I was growing up in Iowa, Ole and Lena were Swedes and Sven was Norwegian, and a bachelor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:982:8201:C2D0:9431:B669:3F13:BDCB (talk) 13:28, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
