Opening heading

The writing in this article, especially the character summaries, seems pretty poor. Not quite worth putting a cleanup tag on it, though. JD79 14:53, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

I did a quick edit and removed/re-wrote the unencyclopedic language. However, that giant plot summary is a different story...James 17:14, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Shouldn't the plot go above the character summary? Ive seen it like that in other articles. --70.60.0.70 21:37, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

I took out that the article needed citation in regard to Old School having a major connection to Fight Club. Todd Philips talks about the parallel in great length on the dvd commentary.

Will Ferrell's house

Will Ferrell said (on the DVD commentary) Mitch's new house was really filmed at his house, but I thought it was a joke. Wasn't it? Guess someone took him seriously.ChesterG 05:03, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism

I reverted some obscene vandalism from the "Setting" section. I can't vouch for the accuracy of this bit but it's got to be better than what was there before. It seems that the article was vandalized at least 5 times. 74.141.161.180 02:08, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Clean-up

Since my edit was called vandalism and reverted I wanted to try and start a discussion here. Quotes don't belong in Wikipedia they belong in Wikiquote and are unsourced. The Similar Films section is also unsourced and makes no sense. The films have nothing to do with Old School, college, fraternities, or anything else in the films, they only have Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, or Luke Wilson in them. Since I was reverted, I've added an unsourced tag to both sections and hopefully someone will fix them now with sources. Phydend 15:25, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Sequel

I think the actors have been asked about a possible sequel but in an interview about the Hangover director Todd Philips mentions the possibility of Old School 2, but points out the difficulties of getting the cast together. -- Horkana (talk) 14:41, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Trivia deleted

Trivia

Deleted per WP:TRIVIA. --Soetermans | is listening | what he'd do now? 06:12, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for preserving the Trivia section here. Too many people misunderstand the guidelines and just delete the trivia section which is just lazy and destructive and much harder than some (or any) effort to merge the content into the article as the guidelines recommend. Should be able to merge in the cameo of Todd Philips easily enough. Will be trickier merging in the reference to the graduate but that would be worth noting if there was a soundtrack section but perhaps it can be fit into the production details somewhere. The part about Jeremy Piven could be worked into his biography page but it is probably too awkward to fit into this article. The fight club reference will be very difficult to work in but maybe the DVD soundtrack will give us a suitable source for that. -- Horkana (talk) 14:47, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Blue

He wasn't known only as Blue, his real name is mentioned a few times in the film. Blue was the nickname he was commonly referred to as. Tigerman2005 (talk) 23:14, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

Summary

I summarized the "overly long" summary to a more concise and less detailed form. If it now meets criteria, can the "overly long and excessively detailed" tag now be removed? 71.180.135.162 (talk) 00:53, 8 December 2014 (UTC)

Elisha Cuthbert

She had a small role (2 scenes) but I remember this being the first time I ever really saw her in a movie, she's in the movie as much, if not more than Juliette Lewis' character? Should she get a mention? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.30.58.88 (talk) 14:44, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

She should be mentioned. She Mitch's boss's (High School cheerleader) daughter. After Mitch and her hook up at a party, the awkward "hello" scenes at the restaurant and the office are inflection points in the plot. 98.118.62.140 (talk) 17:09, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
