Information for editors - In George Bayly's journals 1824 - 1844 published as "Life on the Ocean Wave" (edited reprint ISBN 052284761-7) he descibes the old mill in 1843 as having 6 sails, not 4. Apparently the restoration of the old mill has not been accurately executed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.91.94.116 (talk) 01:11, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

- I'm not convinced the Old Mill is Perth's 'best known' historic landmark. Can I humbly suggest we re-word to be 'one of Perth's best known'? Not a big deal, just a suggestion. Rob 23:54, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds reasonable to me. Fremantle Prison is much better known and arguably is in Perth. Go ahead and make the change. Snottygobble 00:14, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- I suppose you mean the Round House. Fremantle and perth have always been very separate cities. For ex. there was a halfway tree (postal exchange) near claremont on the journey between the two.Fred.e 20:58, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Noongars
[edit]Can we cite and modify "ransacked by Noongars". Or add those things that Mr Shenton took which did not belong to him. It is impolite statement with almost no connection to this short article. Fred.e 20:58, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- Unfortunate wording but accurate in context as the original buildings were destroyed, which prompted the building of a such a solid structure. I'll find a source so we can attribute the statement to a thrid party, at the moment its sourced for signage at the site. Aside from the land issue did Shenton take/do something else, was it a reprisal attack that can be expanded into the article. Gnangarra 23:17, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
