Removal of information

[edit]

I have removed the following from the page.

"On 14 September 2014, the 390 metre track record was broken by Martin Smolinski who recorded 64.5 sec."

I do not think it is relevant to this page. It is better to add it to Martin's page and then use wikilinking to connect to this page.

Others may think it is relevant, a track record rarely gets broken (hence it is still the record 10 years later) and the 'track' in track record is the Olching Speedwaybahn. Additionally, motorsport venue infoboxes even carry a track record option, i.e. see Brands Hatch. Pyeongchang (talk) 16:39, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Noted. Then it would make much more sense to mention that in the same sentence. Right now, it just feels like an irrelevant fact. I think, it should be, On 14 September 2014, the 390-metre track record was broken by Martin Smolinski who recorded 64.5 sec in Olching Speedwaybahn. The record still stood as of 2024.
Thanks for responding.
