vs Indic script

Indic scripts did not have letters for all of Santali's phonemes, especially its stop consonants and vowels, which made writing the language accurately in an unmodified Indic script difficult.

Looking at the phoneme chart in Santali language, it appears to me that the only difficulties are the contrasts ɛ:e, ɔ:o, r:ɽ and perhaps a:ə; all the stops are within the usual Indic repertoire. —Tamfang (talk) 03:12, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
