Value of detailed lists of county staff
[edit]I'm doubtful about the value of the detailed lists of county staff that have been added. I appreciate the effort put into gathering these names, but does this information really have value to the reader of the article? I think a reader would want to know about the party's current stance (for brevity, best done by comparison with the national party platform), its leadership, and its history. There might be notable news events associated with the party -- scandals, political successes, information about the founding of the party, internal power struggles, notable electoral successes which a source specifically attributes to the state party. This list seems far too detailed, and impossible to keep up to date.
If these are to be kept, I would suggest the following
- change the layout to a table, which will be much more compact
- add a citation to the overall table, and to individual rows if necessary
- Make it clear that this information is current as of November 2011. With this many names on the list I suspect at least one name will change every month or two, so it's important to make it clear when the information was gathered.
Any comments? Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 19:40, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
While the information may be correct now, I would have a lot of concern about how quickly it will become out of date, and the low probability that the list will be maintained over time. The principle that Wikipedia is not a directory may apply here. Ground Zero | t 20:07, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
